2025 Term 2 Recreational Classes start from Monday 28th April 2025.

Shire Gymnastics offer small group recreational gymnastics classes for boys and girls. Children develop a range of gymnastics skills using the various quality gymnastics apparatus and equipment. The classes focus on coordination, strength, balance, and flexibility as these will assist with skill progression. Our classes are conducted by engaging and accredited coaches in a positive and encouraging environment. 

• We run a 10-week term however you can enrol at any time throughout the term, fees will pro-rata.
• Classes have a coach ratio of 1:8 (usually classes are 2:16).
• All enrolments (full or partial) will incur a $25 per term Gymnastics NSW Membership & Insurance Fee.

Rec Gym Weekday classes are held Mon to Fri in two time slots: 

• 3.45pm to 4.30pm - 45 minute classes for 4 to 8 year olds ($22 per 45min class). 
• 4.30pm to 5.30pm - 1hour classes for 5 to 9 year olds and 9 to 13 year olds ($25 per 1hour class). 

Rec Gym Saturday classes are held in two time slots: 

• 8.30am to 9.15am - 45 minutes for 4 to 8 year olds ($22 per 45minute class). 
• 9.15am to 10.00am - 45 minutes for 5 to 9 year olds and 9 to 13 year olds ($22 per 45minute class). 

Boys Rec Gym Weekday classes are held at: 

• 3.45pm to 4.30pm - Monday and Wednesday's (4 to 6 year olds) and Fridays (6 to 9 year olds). 

The boy’s classes are 45 minutes ($22 per class) and create an opportunity for boys to train with other boys if they prefer. Boys are more than welcome to enroll in any of the Rec Gym classes. 

Boys Advanced (Rec) / Parkour Gym 9-13 years class is held: 

• 6.00pm to 8.00pm - Wednesday's

This classs is 2hrs ($35 per class) for boys aged 9-13 years that combines mens artistic gymnastics with some parkour activities. 

Advanced (Rec) Gym (selected gymnasts ONLY) 

These classes are for children who have been coach identified as progressing quickly and showing more advanced potential. This class takes a gymnast centered approach individualising gymnastics activities and skill progression to the interests of the gymnasts. This class can be used as a pathway through to our competitive gymnastics program, but this is not a requirement of the Advanced Gym class. 

Advanced Gym is by selection only and is held: 

• 5.30pm to 6.30pm - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday for 9 to 13 year olds ($28 per 1hour class). 
• 5:30pm to 6:30pm - Tuesday for 5 to 9 year olds ($28 per 1hour class). 

New to Shire Gymnastics - Register for a trial:

We offer trial classes at any time throughout the term for a single class fee.

To register for a trial please:

• Review the Recreational Class Timetable.
• Click on Enrol Now / Register button in the banner above.
• Complete Register for a Trial Class form with preferred class name and day.
• We will check availability and confirm your trial via email.

Following your trial we will send an email invitation for regsitration into the remainder of the term.
